Most of you probably know this feeling, you’re Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realise that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change! I have thought of a new “meme” thing, I don’t know. It’s something I’m going to do weekly, but if you like to join in, you’re more than welcome!
Anyway, it works like this:
* Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
* Order on ascending date added.
* Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
* Read the synopses of the books
* Decide: keep it or should it go?
The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR. If it isn’t clear, read on and I’ll show you!
KEEP or PASS
#1 Me Before You | Jojo Moyes
I’ve watched the movie! I know I know, I watched it before getting back into reading. It was an awesome emotive movie, so I am definitely excited to read the book, as obviously BOOKS are 99% always better. I also have ‘After You’ to read after reading this.
#2 The Girl on the Train | Paula Hawkins
This sounds like a really good book. It is right up my street. I am actually looking forward to getting round to reading this! So..
#4 He Said She Said | Erin Kelly
This is a book, I absolutely bloody having to read. Really looking forward to reading this. Heard so many great things and it has good reviews.
#5 Post – Mortem | Patricia Cornwell
I have this on my favourite shelf. So this is one I want to read pretty soon. I’m currently collecting the series. Looking forward to reading a Crime from the medical examiners POV (point of view)
