“F*** you for breaking my f***ing heart…”
This is the heart-breaking yet hilarious story of Jimmy Rowland and Erin Poppet.
Jimmy Rowland has the perfect life. He works in his favourite bar by day, and by night he lives his dream with his two best friends in his band.
Erin Poppet crashes into Jimmy’s life like a beautiful storm. He falls in love with her as quickly and as deeply as possible. The intensity of their relationship leaves Jimmy with a broken heart, a useless vacuum and a demon inside him.
Jimmy’s dream life quickly becomes a nightmare when he loses his dream job and destroys his musical career live on stage.
When he hits rock bottom, he decides he only has one choice, to rebuild his life from scratch. He has to get back the life he had before Erin.
This is her story. This is his story. This is their story.
Or as Jimmy would say…
“… this is the story of You, Me and Us.”
Fuck, was this book written for me or what? 😂😂
Profanity, Humour ,Witty and Real! All a good combination in my view.
Love it is beautiful, perfect and a painful chemical reaction for an amazing book.
Set in beautiful Manchester, U.K which is a 60 minute drive from my home depending on the shockingly crazy road rage-inducing traffic.
It’s a rather different book to what I normally read, it has a lot of dialogue but I actually found it quite nice and not too heavy to read.
Firstly, I fucking love Jimmy he’s so refreshing and real! I felt quite a mixture of emotions throughout the book. I felt love, happiness, sadness & also a tiny bit sorry for him.
Her Erin Poppet (or Erin Pooper as I’ve secretly named her sorry, to good not to miss out on! 😂😂) I don’t know, I liked her at the beginning but it became less & less as it went on.
She was a good, interesting and well written character much like Jimmy but I didn’t connect with her as much.
It was a beautiful story that showed that sometimes relationships don’t work out because in that time in your life things just are not what you wanted and sometimes as much as it hurts, it was the best decision. So you could become a better version of yourself and you are led down the correct path.
I honestly throughly enjoyed this book, it wasn’t your typical love story. It was REAL!. A real-life love/relationship story. Which obviously, I read it in a Manc accent.
I love Liam’s writing style and I actually can’t wait and I WILL be looking out for his future books.
